Spring

This year, in Nottingham, winter is slow to depart. That's frustrating, because the growing season is short enough in Britain, and my vegetables and I need sunshine! So far this year I've sown kale, carrots, spring onions, courgettes, aubergines, broccoli, turnips, cucumber, melon, peas, cauliflower, tomatoes, peppers, dill, parsley, terragon, sweetcorn, broad beans, wax beans, sunflowers and French beans. One lot of cucumber seedlings died, and the wax beans haven't germinated. Grrr! The…

At the moment, I read a book on animal rights and the human role, and two friends of mine saw it. We startet talking about veganism (again...), how I live with it and how they can't live without meat. Some girls on the other side of the room noticed the topic and involved into the discussion.
