Hello

Hi I thought I'd best write something but it has to brief because shhhhh I'm in work!!!!
I'm Dionne and I am form Ireland but currently living in the uk. I live with my boyfriend, 3 fish and 3 adopted rats. I work as an engineer but I am also studying another degree, this time animal welfare so i'm looking for a new job!

I have been vegan for one year and veggie for four years before that. Love been vegan but cooking was always a chore but starting to enjoy it bit by bit! After 2 years in uk I'm only now starting to make one or two veggie or vegan friends............we're thin on the ground where I am LOL!!

I have few hobbies................languages (japanese and russian and gaeilge), cross stitch, veganism, animals, reading, roller-skating/blading, retro gameboy/NDS :P , films especially when I get to go to the cinema and have popcorn, tv shows - dexter, fringe, nip/tuck, gilmore girls, wildlife aid, animal hospital, come dine with me (the narrator is funny), location location location......................bit of a tv addict!!!

Ok best go...............I've to make a study plan since i've assignments due this month!! x x x

Thanks for the info on those places in Cork, I keep meaning to travel around Ireland more so I will check those places out if I go over to Cork. Ah yeah Holland and Barratt can be really good, but I think they are a bit overpriced. I do most of my shopping in the Asian Markets here or Tescos/Lidl. And you're right that booja booja stuff is gorgeous, my dad got some for me last time I was over with him in Wales, I think it was maple and pecan?? It was sooo good! I don't actually eat ice cream very often now though, although I do love mango / raspberry sorbet.... mmmmmm!!!!! Never knew there were vegan versions of mars / snickers / milky way. Gonna have to look into that now, as I mainly stick to dark chocolate (Aldi have this amazing range from Moser Roth - mint, chilli, or almond and orange, it's all too good!). I work as an architects' assistant here in Dublin, not exactly what I'd planned to do, as I studied archaeology in university! I also only work part time now (damn recession is to blame for that!) so I'm concentrating on some photography/graphic design work on the side :)

I've never actually been to Scotland, which is really stupid seeing as Durham was just under the border! Doh.. :) I'd love to go though, it's beautiful. I've heard you can get vegetarian haggis, is that true?! Dublin has got so much more vegan-friendly since I moved here. I remember 7 years ago it was SO difficult to get hold of a lot of products that I was used to in Bristol, as there were hardly any health food shops and the supermarkets didn't really cater for vegans. I don't know if Cork was the same? But recently things have really improved, lots of really nice restaurants and shops are popping up all over the place! :)
