I'm a student in York, England, wanting to meet likeminded people seeing as they seem ridiculously hard to find...
I love anything creative - cooking, sewing, knitting, painting - and I study fashion in the hope that I'll be able to use some extreme creativity to make clothing as sustainable as possible. [And vegan of course].
Really interested in health, the environment, equality of humans and animals, not in that order.
Obviously I like music; I've yet to find somebody who doesn't, but some favourites are Simon and Garfunkel, Dire Straits, Imogen Heap, Aimee Mann, The Beatles, The Kinks, Blondie, Iron and Wine, Anberlin and Bob Marley. [TONS more but don't wanna bore you].

Hi Louise, sorry to hear of you losing the place, probably a blessing in disguise, as bills are currently so high.
Rather than outside catering, which is seasonal and rather limited, perhaps you could look at running a veg*n 'Pop Up' restaurant in a nearby community building? See a localish (for me) vegetarian example here (as I understand it they sold all 70 tickets to Pop Up 2!) run by members of Transition Dorking.
I'm discussing a more permanent local veg*n restaurant in Dorking, probably in a community building, with someone at the moment. The advantages are limited overheads, utilising a space that is probably empty during the day (but known within the community), whilst bringing in donations (in lieu of rent) for the organisation (e.g. church).
:p
tell me about york. what is fun about it other than it rhymes with pork?
Well science can also be a bit mind numbing (surprise!) but you plod along and do what you need to do to get what you want.
Do you have exams?
When were you here? did you see the penguins?
