Do you have any preferred game genres to play? I play practically all of them, as long as the game itself is good.

I have done some simple 2D game demos but I decided to go 3D and I am learning 3D animation. I have various game ideas already being written covering various genres, but surely will start with some very simple games, probably I will make some pro-vegan educational games for my 3 year old nephew first and would like to make them freely available on the net. And then I will move for bigger projects for more mature audiences.
About the drum samples, I don't know ): I was trying free instruments too until I decided to take a look at the professional ones and found a special offer by Eastwest and could not let it pass since they are very good (:
