Hi guys,

My dream is to start a vegan commune on a farm near Port Elizabeth, South Africa. I already found a nice 11 Ha plot for sale. Got in touch with local vegans (all two of them J) – nobody is brave enough to commit funds or move out of the city and change their lifestyle. I am also not sure what financial model should be used. Any ideas?

I was raised as a catholic, like almost every italian child, but my family has never been religious. I always felt there was something wrong with this concept of god.I'm pretty sure I'll be an atheist forever. I've been vegan for 4 yeas and a half. it's surprising how people don't think with thier head but just repeat what they've been taught. That's sad.

I wasn't raised atheist but I was raised without religion. But just like turning vegan I see no reason to turn to religion and to me it would be similar to eating meat again: I'd have to ignore everything I rationally knew that made me fully decide that I was atheist / vegan.

Hi,

I've been an atheist all my life and won't change.

I'm often travelling in countries where religion has an extremely important place (North Africa, Middle East, far East Asia) and never really understand what makes people believe in any god(desse)s or why people blindly adhere to some religions which promote violence and intolerence. Sad world.

Hello "Atheist Vegans"

I've joined this group because I became an atheist about 5 years ago, after a lifetime of being a Christian, and became a vegan about 5 weeks ago after a lifetime of being a meat eater. These two changes in my life are not related yet share some similarities. Both come from thinking. Both make me a better person. Both make me happy. And I and delighted to associate with fellow atheist vegans!
